Cannons LC announced Wednesday that it had acquired nine players off waivers, highlighted by 2020 Major League Lacrosse MVP Bryce Wasserman and two-time Super Bowl champion Chris Hogan, who is making the jump to professional outdoor lacrosse this summer.

In five games during the bubbled MLL tournament last summer, Wasserman scored 14 goals and led the Boston Cannons to an MLL championship. While some expected him to land with Cannons LC in the PLL Entry Draft last week, he instead finds himself back with head coach Sean Quirk after going through waivers.
Shayne Jackson is another notable name. The Georgia Swarm star was the National Lacrosse League MVP in 2020 and was on the Philadelphia Barrage last season.
Hogan is, of course, the most noteworthy name of the group. The former Penn State All-ECAC selection made headlines when he announced his return to lacrosse, and he will now have the chance to officially make a roster if he plays well in training camp.
