Best of Lacrosse 2023: Vote for Best in 'Show'

Lacrosse had mainstream appeal in 2023, with current and former players making inroads on widely popular programming across the country.
These appearances sometimes had nothing to do with the sport itself, but the athletes showcased that they are more than just lacrosse players. Some showed smarts, some showed cunning. Some showed just a pure love for the game.

BEST IN “SHOW”
TAYLOR CLAGETT, “JEOPARDY!”
Former Notre Dame faceoff ace Taylor Clagett appeared on three episodes of “Jeopardy!” He won twice and walked away after three games with $32,800 in winnings.
“BARBIE”
Lacrosse in the summer’s biggest blockbuster? Lacrosse sticks were featured in “Barbie” during the battle scene for the hit song “I’m Just Ken.” Ryan Gosling belting it out while lacrosse sticks fly.
NOTRE DAME, “THE PAT MCAFEE SHOW”
After winning the NCAA championship, Pat and Chris Kavanagh were on the show virtually. Then, when Pat McAfee took his show on the road to South Bend in the fall, the team was on air live with the former NFL punter.
“NEW HEIGHTS” PODCAST
Everyone’s favorite NFL brothers — Jason and Travis Kelce — spoke highly of their experiences playing lacrosse at Cleveland Heights High School, bringing it up on their chart-topping podcast.
