Will Fox has been named the newest Wagner men's lacrosse coach, the university announced Monday. Fox replaces Bill McCutcheon, who stepped down from the position in July.
Fox most recently served as the defensive coordinator at Sacred Heart for the past two seasons, helping the Pioneers to a 2024 NCAA tournament berth and a MAAC conference title.
Under Fox's supervision, the Pioneers posted the sixth-best scoring defense in the nation (9.61 goals allowed per game).
Fox got his coaching start at North Carolina under Joe Breschi from 2020-22 following a playing career at Fairfield that started in 2015 with a CAA Rookie of the Year honor. Fox is second all-time in Fairfield history with 503 faceoffs won.
Kenny DeJohn has been the Digital Content Editor at USA Lacrosse since 2019. First introduced to lacrosse in 2016 as a Newsday Sports reporter on Long Island (yes, ON Long Island), DeJohn specializes in women's game coverage. His search for New York quality pizza in Baltimore is ongoing.
