This season, USA Lacrosse will celebrate the accomplishments of players across Divisions I, II and III each Tuesday with Player of the Week recognition. Players of the Week are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors based on a variety of factors, including individual performance and impact on team success.

DIVISION I

LEELEE DENTON, NAVY

Denton was quite literally perfect last week, scoring 11 goals on 11 shots in a 2-0 week for Navy. The junior from Nashville had nine goals combined in the previous seven games, but she exploded for six against Jacksonville in a 13-12 win and five against Bucknell in a 21-13 victory. The attacker scored 32 goals last spring, and she appears well on her way to surpassing that in 2023.

DIVISION II

SYDNEY TIEMANN, MARYVILLE

Tiemann is the Division II scoring leader with 67 goals through 10 games, including 26 goals in four games last week, all victories. Tiemann has scored at least six goals in every game this season, including three seven-goal efforts and two eight-goal performances. Her contributions have helped Maryville to a 10-0 start, its best beginning to a season ever.

DIVISION III

CAROLINE KRANICH, WASHINGTON AND LEE

Kranich was a rock in a marquee matchup between W&L and Tufts last weekend, and while it might not be surprising that W&L won, the final score was certainly a shock. The Generals won 16-5, largely because Kranich made 13 saves (72.2 percent) to keep the Jumbos at bay. It was a nice bounceback for Kranich, who made just 11 saves combined over the previous two games (wins over Gettysburg and Catholic).
