Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Monday, March 13
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Razor thin margins on the women’s side.
Nearly a quarter of the Division I women’s games this week were one-goal affairs. It’s shaping up to be a quite an unpredictable season. Kenny DeJohn broke down the week in The Sunday Slide.

2. The ACC’s top men’s teams are rolling.
It was a big week for the ACC in men’s lacrosse. Not so much for the Ivy League. There were goalies on fire all around the landscape and you can read about the efforts in The Post-Week Tailgate.

3. The Scane Train is back.
Izzy Scane missed two games with a hamstring injury. You wouldn’t have known it on Friday night when she scored eight goals for Northwestern in a 13-8 victory over Stony Brook.
4. It’s looking like a typical Duke run to May.
Duke at it’s best? Scary. The Blue Devils absolutely dominated the first half to the tune of a 14-2 lead in a Top 10 victory over Loyola.
5. Is Dartmouth ready for something special?
Dartmouth’s 4-0 start in men’s lacrosse, its best in two decades, hasn’t come out of nowhere. The Big Green have been laying the foundation for the last eight years.
6. Honoring the past.
Mike, Mikey or Michael Powell, no matter what you call him, is one of the best to play the sport. His jersey number 22 will now hang in the rafters at Syracuse. A tribute.

Another ceremony took place in Chestertown, Md., where Washington College honored its 1982 team, the first to reach the NCAA championship game. One of those players was Steve Beville, a star defenseman with the Shoremen. On Saturday, he was on the opposite sideline, leading his 4-0 Cortland State team to a win.
