This season, USA Lacrosse will celebrate the accomplishments of players across Divisions I, II and III each Tuesday with Player of the Week recognition.
Players of the Week are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors based on a variety of factors, including individual performance and impact on team success.
Emma LoPinto, Boston College
The attacker who transferred to Boston College from Florida put together her best performance as an Eagle, scoring seven goals with two assists in an 18-12 win over North Carolina. She shot 7-for-7.
Through 12 games, LoPinto has 33 goals and 13 assists while shooting 55 percent and 83.3 percent on goal.
Angelina Porcello, Pace
Porcello, a senior midfielder, is one of the main reasons that defending national champion Pace has not missed a beat in 2024, improving to 9-0 after recording two more wins last week.
Porcello totaled 13 points (eight goals, five assists) in the victories over New Haven and Southern New Hampshire — along with 14 draw controls, five ground balls and one caused turnover. She leads the NE10 in goals (34), points (47), ground balls (27) and caused turnovers (24) and is second in draw controls (57).
Hope Shue, Middlebury
It was another excellent day at the office for Shue, who had five goals and two assists in a win over Wesleyan. But it was her work late in the fourth quarter that sealed the Player of the Week nod.
Challenged for the first time this season, Middlebury trailed 10-9 with 9:44 left. So, Shue took matters into her own hands, scoring the next two goals and assisting the one after that. Middlebury won 12-10.
