With spring break in progress on many college campuses, it was a relatively quiet week within the WCLA Division I ranks, evidenced by the fact that seven of the top 10 teams were idle.

Among the teams that did see action, Pitt Club and Utah Valley both leveraged weekend victories into new positions.

In a battle of former national champions, Pitt defeated Delaware 18-10 last week to improve to 3-1 overall, jumping four spots to No. 10. The Panthers are not scheduled to play again until March 31.

As chronicled last week, No. 8 Utah Valley continues to impress in its first Division I season and was the other big mover, climbing five places this week after a 15-12 win at No. 14 BYU. Utah Valley remains unbeaten, improving to 5-0 heading into this weekend’s test against No. 17 Colorado Club. BYU dropped five spots this week following its loss to Utah Valley.

A 4-0 week for Maryland Club that included wins over North Carolina Club, James Madison Club, NC State and Duke Club moved the Terps into the ranking for the first time this year at No. 20.
