Dallas Jesuit (Texas) takes over the top spot after St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) falls to previously-unranked Oxbridge Academy (Fla.) on Friday. With the upset, Oxbridge cracks the Top 5 with a 4-0 record. Lambert (Ga.) and Ponte Vedra (Fla.) also continue to dominate atop the Nike/US Lacrosse South Boys' Top 10 with undefeated records. 

1. Dallas Jesuit (Texas), 5-0

The Rangers beat St. Mark’s (Texas) 9-3 to stay unbeaten and assure their climb into the No. 1 spot when St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) suffered its first in-state loss in three years to shake up the rankings. After traveling to Plano West (Texas) on Wednesday, the Rangers are off to the northeast, where they’ll play two games. First up is Archbishop Spaulding (Md.) on Sunday. Previous: 2

2. Lambert (Ga.), 5-0

The Longhorns stayed unbeaten with two lopsided in-state wins over Mill Creek and Northview. Last week’s victory over Blessed Trinity looks even better now, since Trinity went on to beat previously-ranked Lassiter. The Longhorns play Northwest Guilford (N.C.) and Lake Norman (N.C.) in the King of Spring Face-Off Classic later this week. Previous: 4

3. Ponte Vedra (Fla.), 6-0

The Sharks edged Lake Highland Prep (Fla.) 11-10 in overtime, their second consecutive overtime win. Carter Parlette had five goals, including the game-winner, and two assists. Ponte Vedra finished the week beating Nease (Fla.) 17-11 as Jake Burke scored five goals and Parlette had three goals and three assists. The Sharks travel to North Carolina this weekend for the King of Spring Face-Off Classic, where they’ll play Wando (S.C.) and Calvert Hall (Md.). Calvert Hall is ranked No. 4 nationally. Previous: 6

4. Oxbridge Academy (Fla.), 4-0

The ThunderWolves have beaten quality teams all season, but none fell harder against them than former No. 1-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas. Jack Kilian scored three goals and Jerry Annuziata added two in the ThunderWolves’ 6-4 win over the two-time defending state champs. Oxbridge also beat perennial Florida power St. Andrew’s last week, 8-5, and Kilian had two goals and an assist. 5. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 4-1

The two-time Florida state champions extended their record to 4-0 before falling to previously-unranked Oxbridge 6-4 on Friday night to end a 42-game win streak against in-state opponents. Grant Laman had a goal and two assists in the loss. The Raiders beat in-state opponents Piper 15-1 and American Heritage-Plantation 14-7 last week before the loss. Previous: 1

6. Middle Creek (N.C.), 2-0

The Mustangs began their defense of their first NCHSAA 4A state championship with a pair of road wins, beating in-state opponents Broughton 15-7 and R.J. Reynolds 14-6. In the Broughton win, Jake Caputo had four goals and three assists, JJ Tolentino scored four goals and Owen Caputo had a goal and three assists. Against Reynolds, Tolentino led with four goals and Owen Caputo had three. Middle Creek plays Lassiter (Ga.) in the King of Spring Face-Off Classic on Saturday. Previous: 5

7. Episcopal School of Dallas (Texas), 4-1

The Eagles opened the week with a big 7-6 win over Highland Park (Texas) on Braden Rhone’s game-winner off Brandon Meaux’s assist late in the fourth quarter. It was Rhone’s second goal of the game, and Meaux finished with a goal and two assists. Previous: 7

8. Centennial (Ga.), 4-0

The Knights stayed unbeaten with an 18-6 win over Dunwoody (Ga.) and a 22-1 win over Norcross (Ga.) last week. Nicky Solomon led with 10 goals and 13 assists in the two games, while Ryan Siracusa had seven goals and eight assists. Sam Risse had five goals against Dunwoody. The Knights play Apex (N.C.) and Bishop O’Connell (Va.) at the King of Spring Face-Off Classic in Durham, N.C., this weekend. Previous: 8

9. Weddington (N.C.), 1-0

The Warriors, who won their first NCHSAA 1A/2A/3A state championship last year, opened with an 18-3 win over St. Stephen’s (N.C.). Austin Leonard and James Shipley led the way with four goals each. Leonard also has two assists, and Whitner Litton won 17 of 21 faceoffs. Weddington was scheduled to play Monday. Previous: 9

10. Louisville St. Xavier (Ky.) 1-0

The Tigers opened with a 17-3 win over Memphis Christian Brothers (Tenn.). Will Hubbs led with six goals, and Pat Anderson had three goals, an assist and three ground balls. Peyton Bray was 16-1 on faceoffs and had six ground balls. Previous: 10

Nicky Solomon, Centennial (Ga.)

Solomon (North Carolina) had five goals and eight assists in a 22-1 win over Norcross (Ga.) to become the 18th player in the country to break 500 career points. The senior came into the season with 467 points and has scored 36 points in four games to bring his total to 503. Solomon passed two players on the career list with his performance against Norcross and now stands No. 17 in all-time career points. The Georgia record is 623 points, held by Solomon’s older brother Nathan. In two games last week, Solomon had 10 goals and 13 assists.
