3. The Premier Lacrosse League invades Canada this week, playing in Hamilton as teams make a final playoff push with just two weeks to go. One of the most intriguing games will be the Redwoods against the Whipsnakes (Sunday, 6 p.m. on NBCSN).
The Whipsnakes are 5-3 and the Redwoods are 4-4, but with recent bye weeks and the All-Star game, neither team has won a game since July 6.
4. A three-game slate on Saturday in Major League Lacrosse is highlighted by Boston (6-4) visiting Chesapeake (7-3) (Saturday, 7 p.m. on Stadium) in the first matchup between the two teams this season. We examined the Cannons rise earlier this week.
