3. Former Purdue club player Audrey Powers went out of this world — to space — on a recent flight with William Shatner.

USA Lacrosse continues its look at findings from a recently released study of the use of headgear in women’s lacrosse. Dr. Trish Kelshaw, part of the research team for the study, will be featured on a webinar this coming Monday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. There is no charge, but advance registration is required.

Jessica Davos, a former assistant at Albany, will be the interim women’s lacrosse coach at Union for the 2022 season, replacing Abi Jackson who left for a role with Athletes Unlimited.

Some said the pandemic would hurt the Ivy League. Apparently not. Ty Xanders of Inside Lacrosse has an early read on the top recruiting classes for 2023 and the list includes Penn and Princeton among the top five classes on the men’s side.
