Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. VMI put a scare into No. 18 Lehigh, but the Mountain Hawks pulled away with three unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to defeat the Keydets 14-11. Andrew Pettit tied a 23-year-old Lehigh record with eight goals.
2. San Diego State scored three goals in the final 1:25 to defeat Arizona State 19-18 in a thriller Thursday in San Diego. Camdyn O’Donnell scored the tying goal with 48 seconds remaining, then converted on the game-winner just 24 seconds later.
3. The Adelphi-Florida Southern rivalry took another turn Thursday, as No. 14 FSC upset the top-ranked Panthers 8-4 in Lakeland, Fla. The Moccasins scored the first eight goals, methodically putting away the defending NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse champion.
4. Joe Fletcher, a three-time professional lacrosse all-star and gold medal-winning defenseman for the 2018 U.S. national team, announced his retirement Thursday. Fletcher, a 2014 Loyola graduate, played for Chrome LC in the Premier Lacrosse League’s inaugural season.

5. Some injury and suspension news in Syracuse and Charlottesville, respectively:
Morgan Alexander, the oft-injured redshirt senior attacker for the Syracuse women’s lacrosse team, will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a lower-body injury on her left leg in practice Wednesday, the school announced Thursday. Alexander missed the first three years of her career due to four injuries to her right knee. She scored 20 goals last season.
Will Rock, a junior long-stick midfielder of the Virginia men’s lacrosse team, has been suspended due to a violation of team rules, Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders tweeted Thursday. Xanders was clarifying an earlier tweet by Chris Jastrzembski that said Rock was no longer with the Cavaliers.
6. Major League Lacrosse announced protected rosters for the six MLL teams, each of which identified 26 players to exclude from the March supplemental draft.
