Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. We worked with Lacrosse Reference this year on our preseason college content to take a look at advanced metrics — like Florida’s defense not allowing a shot, on average, until 57 seconds into a possession. Here’s one stat for each of the teams in our preseason Top 20
2. A roster stacked with older players has Loyola with lofty expectations for the 2022 season. The Greyhounds are No. 7 in the Nike / USA Lacrosse preseason men’s rankings.
3. Led by veteran goalie Bridget Deehan and a now experienced crop of younger players, Notre Dame once again has its sights set on trying to reach the final four. The Irish check in at No. 7 in the Nike / USA Lacrosse preseason rankings.
4. USA U21 and University of Michigan defenseman Ryan Schriber sits down with 13-year-old Kieran Wiseman for a story in our “Take Me Back” feature. Schriber previously played for Wieseman’s dad, John, at Wilton (Conn.) High School.
