1. Lacrosse season returns tomorrow. Get excited, folks.
As a result, ESPN released its full college lacrosse television schedule on Thursday.
Included in the broadcast schedule for this season are 53 men's and women's games. Unlike last season, the new ACC Network will broadcast a number of games in addition to ESPNU.
Check out the full schedule here.
2. Grant Ament isn’t satisfied.
The Penn State star has been through plenty during his career in Happy Valley — including a foot injury that cost him the 2018 season — but he’s ready for his final chance at leading the Nittany Lions to the national title. Check out this feature on our Preseason Player of the Year.
3. Syracuse women’s lacrosse is loaded entering 2020.
After making a surprise run to the NCAA quarterfinals last year, the Orange bring back their entire core. It could be a fun year in the Carrier Dome, with Tewaaraton candidate Emily Hawryschuk leading the way. Syracuse is No. 2 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women's Top 20.
4. Virginia can score, but can it defend?
The Cavaliers, defending NCAA champions and No. 2 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Men’s Top 20, have had to re-shape their defense after injuries and graduation. Still, Lars Tiffany believes this unit can grow as 2020 progresses.
5. Another laxer in the Super Bowl? You bet.
San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Solomon Thomas is preparing for the big game, while his former lacrosse teammates in Coppell, Texas are rooting him on. Check out the story on Thomas’ lacrosse background and how he’s still connected to the game.
6. Ever wanted to see the schedules of every college lacrosse team in one place?
