1. Australia will be inspired to honor a legend at the world championship.
Former Australia player and coach Sue “Melli” Sofarnos died suddenly in 2020. Her daughter, Hayley, who tore her ACL just ahead of the 2017 world championship, will wear the green and gold for Australia next week when the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship at Towson University.
2. Laura Warren will play in her sixth world championship. Jamaica, it’s first.
Former Maryland player Laura Warren will lead Wales in 2022 – her sixth appearance in the world championship. Meanwhile, Howard head coach Karen Healy-Silcott will serve as a player-coach for Jamaica’s first appearance.
3. Yesterday marked the 50th anniversary of Title IX.

4. A record-breaking television showing for the PLL.

5. The schedule is set for the U.S. Men’s U21 team.
World Lacrosse released the schedule for the 2022 World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championship, set to take place in Limerick, Ireland in August.
