Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world.
1. A D-III thriller in Sparks.
Colby scored three goals in the last 48 seconds, including a buzzer beater by Eliza Dean that gave the ninth-ranked Mules a 10-9 win over No. 11 Hamilton at USA Lacrosse’s Tierney Field in Sparks, Maryland. It was Dean’s lone attempt of the game. Colby’s Elizabeth Hennessy and Hamilton’s Aine Cleary each scored three goals.
Also Thursday, No. 3 Middlebury dealt No. 8 TCNJ its first loss of the season, a five-goal run in the second quarter spelling the different in a 13-9 road victory. Hope Shue and Jane Earley scored three goals apiece and Lily Riseburg had a goal and five assists in the win.
2. Our high school preseason rollout continued with the Midwest.
Read up on the Nike/USA Lacrosse Midwest Top 10s — boys and girls — as well as Hartland (Mich.) sensation Bo Lockwood and a new era at Upper Arlington (Ohio). USA Lacrosse Magazine contributor and Midwest correspondent Jonah Rosenblum reports.

4. Gait Lacrosse has signed another star.

Scane, who set an NCAA Division I record with 6.12 goals per game last year, is sitting out this season due to a torn ACL.
5. Has Florida turned the corner?
After starting 2-4, the Gators have won three straight — including an impressive victory over Syracuse — and ascended into the top 10 of the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I Women’s Top 20. Charlotte Varnes examined Florida’s surprising turnaround.
6. Two-time world champion Australia announced its roster for the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship.
The group of 18 includes five-time national team members Hannah Nielsen and Stacey Morlang. Nielsen was a two-time Tewaaraton Award winner at Northwestern. Morlang was a Tewaaraton finalist at Loyola.
