Brennan Dwyer led the Wildcats with 10 draw controls to aid in the 22-11 advantage in the midfield. PSU had a 20-17 edge in ground balls.
Northwestern used a strong first half, 12-5, to cushion a tight second period, during which the Nittany Lions played a close 7-6 battle in an attempt for a comeback.
