Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The women’s Division I Final Four is set.

It was all chalk in the women’s quarterfinals, as the top four seeds advanced. No. 1 North Carolina, No. 3 Boston College and No. 4 Northwestern were all there last year and in 2019. No. 2 Maryland wasn’t, but the winningest program in Division I women’s lacrosse history isn’t exactly crashing the sport’s annual Memorial Day Weekend celebration.    

The Terps are headed to Baltimore thanks to an 8-1 third-quarter run and 18-5 win over No. 7 Florida. Libby May scored five goals for the third game in a row, leading Maryland to its 12th Final Four in 13 seasons.

The Terps will play reigning champion Boston College. The Eagles got seven goals from Belle Smith and five goals and three assists from Jenn Medjid in a 20-13 win over sixth-seeded Loyola. It’s the fifth straight Final Four for the Eagles, who have advanced to the title game each time.

No. 4 Northwestern raced past No. 5 Syracuse 15-4. Lauren Gilbert led the way with five goals, and the Northwestern defense held Syracuse to its lowest goal output of the season. Madison Doucette finished with 11 saves.

In the final and easily the most competitive game of the day, No. 8 Stony Brook became only the second team to lead the undefeated Tar Heels at halftime, but UNC prevailed 8-5. Andie Aldave netted a hat trick. The Tar Heels will play Northwestern in the semifinals and are seeking their first title since 2016.

2. The Division II women’s semifinals are today.

Cinderella’s invitation must have gotten lost in the mail. This year’s Final Four features the usual suspects. No. 1 East Stroudsburg takes on No. 4 Queens (N.C.) at 5 p.m., and No. 2 Adelphi and No. 3 UIndy square off at 8 p.m. The winners will play for the national title Sunday. 3. The final NAIA rankings are out.

Reinhardt (Ga.) ends 2022 at No. 1 in the men’s NAIA rankings. The Eagles beat previously-No. 1 Indiana Tech 11-5 for their fifth consecutive NAIA Invitational championship last weekend.

Benedictine (Kan.) is in the top spot in the women’s rankings. The Ravens edged Lawrence Tech (Mich.) 9-8 in the title game.

• The Division I men’s quarterfinals will be spread across two days. No. 5 Rutgers plays No. 3 Penn Saturday at noon, followed by No. 5 Princeton and No. 4 Yale at 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, No. 7 Cornell and Delaware play at noon, and Virginia and No. 1 Maryland face off at 2:30 p.m. All games are on ESPNU.
