Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The Tewaaraton winners were named last night in Washington D.C. at the Museum of the American Indian. Loyola’s Pat Spencer, a three-time finalist, brought home the men’s award while Maryland’s Megan Taylor won the women’s award, becoming the first goalie — male or female — to win the award.

2. The 2019 Major League Lacrosse season opens tonight with New York hosting reigning champion Denver in a game that will be featured on Stadium. The league announced on Thursday that Stadium will stream 12 games this year in addition to studio programming.
ESPN+ will also carry an MLL Game of the Week this season — starting with Sunday’s Chesapeake at Dallas game. The league is expected to announce its complete coverage scheduled in the near future.
3. US Lacrosse and the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) have announced a multi-faceted partnership aimed at bolstering youth lacrosse participation and promoting diversity in the sport through all ages.
4. Merrimack began the season as the No. 1 team in the Nike/US Lacrosse preseason Division II men’s rankings, and the Warriors ended there after winning their second straight national championship.
5. Adelphi never tasted the No. 1 spot in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II women’s rankings during the season, but the Panthers NCAA title run lands them on top in the final rankings of the season.
6. The Lacrosse Athlete Development Model is helping programs around the country find success. A look at some of the impact that was featured in our May/June issue.
7. For the third year in a row, US Lacrosse is excited to host the IWLCA Senior All-Star Games.
