Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1.  The No. 1 teams in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I rankings both faced Top 5 challenges this weekend and came away with victories. Last night, Logan Wisnauskas become Maryland's all-time leading scorer as the No. 1 Terps knocked off Rutgers 17-9.

No. 1 North Carolina's women improved to 13-0 with a 14-12 win over No. 4 Syracuse in the Carrier Dome on Saturday. Down 8-7 in the third quarter, North Carolina went on a four-goal run to take the lead for good. Jamie Ortega scored five goals and clinched the game on a goal with 1:36 left.

In the other big women's game on Saturday, Julia Gilbert's overtime goal gave Denver a 14-13 win over Connecticut and control of the Big East race.

2. Ali Baiocco tied her own school record of eight goals as Stanford completed a season sweep of USC, beating the Trojans 23-17 on Sunday. The Cardinal had been upset by Arizona State on Friday night. UMass also won a key Atlantic 10 battle, beating No. 17 Richmond 15-9.

3. There was a lot of chalk on Saturday in men's lacrosse, but Brown put the depth in the Ivy League on full display. The Bears, not one of the five teams ranked in the Top 12 of the Nike/USA Lacrosse rankings, fell behind No. 8 Penn 5-0, but rallied for a 12-10 victory.

4. Vanderbilt's Cailin Bracken with a powerful letter to college sports.
