Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. What a weekend. Let’s start in Durham.
Duke women’s lacrosse pulled off the biggest result of the weekend, holding off then-No. 2 Boston College in a thrilling 16-15 win. Maddie Jenner scored the game-winning goal on an alley-oop pass from Caroline DeBellis.

Also on the weekend, Maryland stayed unbeaten in Big Ten play with an Easter win over Ohio State, UConn held off Villanova, Michigan down Penn State in overtime and Northwestern topped Johns Hopkins. Click here for the full Saturday wrap.
2. Brown men’s lacrosse bolstered its NCAA tournament resume against Yale.
Not listed among the NCAA Selection Committee’s top 10, the Bears blitzed Yale 20-13 thanks to another big day from Devon McLane. Also in men’s action, Army got a big boost to its tournament hopes with a 17-10 win over Cornell — thanks to three goals from Ryan Sposito, the grandson of Big Red great Richie Moran.

Also from Patrick Stevens, Maryland was tested by Ohio State but proved why it’s No. 1 and a Boston U team without Jake Cates downed Loyola.
3. Hailey Rooney played goalie once before Saturday. She stepped up when Canisius needed her.
Rooney, the freshman midfielder for the Golden Griffins, was asked early last week if she’d be willing to help in cage, where she’d had one game of experience in sophomore year of high school. She said yes, and 12 saves later, Rooney helped Canisius win 10-9 over Quinnipiac in overtime.

4. There’s a new No. 1 in Division III men’s lacrosse.
Christopher Newport, then No. 2, hosted No. 1 Salisbury on Saturday and handed the Sea Gulls their worst loss since 1992 — winning 17-7 to move into the top spot in today’s rankings.
