Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The Margaret Boyd Cup is coming back to the U.S.
Four years after Canada stunned the U.S. in Scotland, the Americans left little doubt in reclaiming their spot at No. 1 in the world, dethroning the host Canadians with a 13-3 victory in the World Lacrosse Women’s U19 World Championship final Saturday in Peterborough, Ontario.

Team USA swept the international competition, winning all seven games it played by a combined margin of 128-20. Attackers Caitlyn Wurzburger and Izzy Scane, midfielders Maddie Jenner and Bri Gross and goalie Rachel Hall were named to the All-World team.

2. The Premier Lacrosse League’s Chaos became the first team to clinch a playoff berth with a 13-10 win Saturday over Redwoods at Avaya Stadium in San Jose.
Attackman Connor Fields made “SportsCenter” with his one-handed dunk off a swim dodge that tripped up Redwoods defenseman Garrett Epple behind the goal, and defenseman Jarrod Neumann continued his breakthrough campaign with another 2-point goal.

In other PLL results, Chrome kept its postseason hopes alive with a 20-16 win over Whipsnakes and Archers defeated Atlas 15-11.
With two weeks remaining in the regulars season, the margin remains razor thin. Three games separate five teams — Whipsnakes (5-3), Archers (4-4), Redwoods (4-4), Atlas (3-5) and Chrome (2-6) — fighting for three remaining three playoff spots.

3. The red-hot Chesapeake Bayhawks defeated the visiting Denver Outlaws 12-9 on Saturday to take over sole possession of first place in Major League Lacrosse.
MLL scoring leader Lyle Thompson led the way with three goals and two assists, a fitting performance for Native American Celebration Night at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Afterward, Thompson and Brendan Bomberry were honored in a blanket ceremony.

Kyle Harrison just wanted to compliment a Redwoods teammate. In a most mom move, Ryder Garnsey’s mother replied with a picture of Harrison with her then 10-year-old son with the legend after a private lesson. The Twitter exchange:
@KyleHarrison18 you showed him those qualities first hand, giving him a private lesson when he was 10 years old. You and @jwalters1 are displayed prominently on his wall to this day. He has looked up to the both of you forever and now he is living his dream. @PLLRedwoods pic.twitter.com/BLRzvLfzmf
