1. The U.S. under-19 women’s national team swept through pool play over the weekend in the 2019 World Championship. Friday, the U.S. opened with a 12-4 win over Australia, followed it with an 18-2 blowout over England and capped with a 13-5 victory over rival Canada on Sunday night.
The U.S. advances to the Round of 16 as the top seed. The opponent will be determined today.
Friday night, Maddie Jenner and Brianne Gross combined to help the U.S. dominate Australia on the draw. Check out the highlights of the opening win.

Sunday, in a rematch of the 2015 gold medal game against Canada, the U.S. used a seven-goal second quarter to take control of the game.

2. Kenya quickly became the heartwarming story of the U19 World Championship. Making an appearance as the first African team in this world championship, the Kenyan U19 team became fan favorites, both in Peterborough and on social media.

England came back to beat Australia 10-9 in a crucial battle between Pool A teams. The fans went wild.
3. The Chesapeake Bayhawks swept the New York Lizards in a pair of games Saturday and Sunday. Colin Heacock scored 10 goals in the two games to help the Bayhawks win 11-9 and 24-7, respectively.

Also in MLL play, Zed Williams’ four goals led the Boston Cannons to the 16-13 win over the Denver Outlaws. Bryce Wasserman dropped five goals to help the Dallas Rattlers beat the Atlanta Blaze 16-14.
With their wins, Boston and Chesapeake moved into a three-way tie with Denver for first place in the MLL at 6-3.
