On Friday, the New England Blackwolves upset the defending champion Georgia Swarm 13-11, the Buffalo Bandits handled the Toronto Rock 13-9 and the Colorado Mammoth defeated the Vancouver Stealth 15-8.

On Saturday, the Rochester Knighthawks dominated the Calgary Roughnecks 17-6 while setting records during Cody Jamieson’s return to the box after an ACL injury.

2. It was a winter wonderland in the lacrosse world this weekend. The first snowfall hit the fields, but it didn’t keep dedicated players off them. Check it out:

3. Former Maryland head coach Dave Cottle, current general manager for the Chesapeake Bayhawks, was inducted into the IMLCA Hall of Fame on Friday. In College Park, Md., he led the Terps to eight NCAA tournament appearances and three final fours.

Also inducted were Tom Hayes (Drexel, Rutgers), Avery Blake, Sr. (Swarthmore, Penn), Sid Jamieson (Bucknell), Jack Kaley (NYIT), Dick Szlasa (Navy, Washington & Lee, Towson), and Morris Touchstone (Army, Yale).
