Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The Georgia Swarm and New England Black Wolves move to 2-0.
Saturday night, Georgia hosted the Philadelphia Wings (who had a bye during Week 1 of NLL play). Lyle Thompson did Lyle Thompson things, pouring in four goals and three assists to fuel the 12-6 victory in Atlanta despite a 17-for-22 showing from U.S. national team faceoff man Trevor Baptiste.
The Black Wolves got the best of the Saskatchewan Rush on Saturday, riding rookie Andrew Kew to a 12-8 win. Kew, the third pick in this fall’s NLL Draft, scored twice and added four assists to lead New England.

Also victorious in Saturday NLL action were the Toronto Rock and the Vancouver Warriors. The Rock got three goals and two assists (more on that in a moment) and Dan Craig had six points to lead Toronto to the 13-6 victory over the San Diego Seals.
On the West Coast, the Vancouver Warriors welcomed the newly founded New York Riptide and pulled away for the 14-10 win. Mitch Jones dropped four goals and five assists for Vancouver to move past 300 points for his career.
2. The Americans balled out this weekend.
Tom Schreiber did what? Just sit back and enjoy this goal for the Toronto Rock.

Davey Emala added to the list of highlights from this weekend. The U.S. indoor team member dives from behind the cage for the beautiful finish.

Elsewhere, Connor Kelly (New York) had two goals and four assists, Alex Woodall (New York) went 16-for-28 at the faceoff, Connor Fields (San Diego) scored twice and Joe Resetarits had a goal and three assists.
3. Barstool’s Big Cat teases potential PLL news coming soon.
Paul Rabil appeared on Barstool’s Pardon My Take this fall to announce the league would add a seventh team. Now, it seems the name of that team could be revealed on PMT sometime in the near future.
Coming very soon. I’m excited @PaulRabil https://t.co/GbfamDhnBe
