Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The National Lacrosse League had a light weekend schedule with just two games. A cast of largely former Knighthawks in Halifax beat the new-look Rochester franchise 14-12 to improve to 2-0 and Colorado beat defending league champion Calgary 8-7 in overtime on Jordan Gilles' breakaway.

2. Brendan Hoffman, a 6-foot-6 force, is the Nike/US Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year in the NCAA Division III men’s ranks. Hoffman is a primary reason Williams is ranked No. 1 in the preseason.
3. Courtney Patterson, the 2019 IWLCA Midfielder of the Year, is the Nike/US Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year for NCAA Division III women. Patterson’s Gettysburg squad is ranked No. 2 in the preseason.
