Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Athletes Unlimited, the new pro women’s lacrosse league, kicked off the first of five straight weekends of lacrosse with Team Ohlmiller going a perfect 3-0. Kayla Wood, a rookie defender out of North Carolina, was the highest individual scorer of the weekend with 501 points, just ahead of Team Ohlmiller teammate Kayla Treanor with 496 points and a league-high 10 goals in three games.

Kenny DeJohn was there for the opening of the new league on Friday night and shared reactions.
2. NCAA women’s lacrosse will have several rule changes in 2022, including a move to four 15-minute quarters instead of two halves, and the possession clock will now reset to 60 seconds instead of 90 seconds following a save or pipe shot (if less than 59 seconds remain).
3. The first Shootout for Soldiers event of the season raised over $180,000 with Long Island representing strong.

4. Former Howard women’s lacrosse player Latroya Pina will represent Cape Verde in the Olympics in swimming. Pina participated in both sports for the Bison.
