Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. In MLL action, the New York Lizards became the first team to defeat the first-place Dallas Rattlers, 13-12 in Dallas on Sunday night, and moved into a three-way tie with Atlanta and Denver for third place in the league.
Joel Tinney scored the game-winning goal with 9:23 left in the fourth quarter, while Dallas goalie John Galloway lost a regular season game for the first time since July 2, 2017. Rob Pannell, the MLL’s leading points scorer, had five points to lead New York.
On Saturday, the Chesapeake Bayhawks clinched the second MLL playoff spot and home field advantage with a 13-11 win over Denver.
Also, playoff hopes stay alive for Atlanta with a 16-13 victory over Florida, while Boston dominates Charlotte 14-7 thanks to rookie goalie Nick Marrocco’s 21 saves on 27 shots for his first MLL career win.
