Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Premier Lacrosse League is back.

A pair of one-goal games highlighted the slate on opening weekend in Albany, as the Chrome topped the Archers 11-10 and the Whipsnakes took down the defending champion Chaos 9-8.

In the first-ever PLL game broadcast on ESPN, the Atlas toppled the Redwoods 17-11 at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.

Next weekend, the PLL heads to Charlotte. Here are the scores from last weekend:

2. After 16 seasons at Bryant, Mike Pressler has retired.

A press release from the school cited “family reasons” as to why Pressler has chosen to step away. Pressler led the Bulldogs to six NCAA tournament appearances.

Casey Brodersen just completed his 12^th season on Pressler’s staff and has been named the program’s interim head coach. A national search has begun for a permanent replacement.

3. UMass didn’t wait long to fill its coaching vacancy.

Jana Drummond will take over for Angela McMahon-Serpone, the university announced Friday. Drummond spent five seasons on McMahon-Serpone’s staff, helping UMass to an 81-21 record.

4. Charlotte North’s lacrosse successes have been “a dream come true.”

Speaking at last Thursday night’s Tewaaraton Award ceremony in Washington, D.C., the Boston College star clutched her second straight Tewaaraton and spoke about the people who’ve helped lift her to the sport’s greatest heights.

5. Logan Wisnauskas’ parents recalled watching him train in the backyard.

After capturing the men’s Tewaaraton Award Thursday, Wisnauskas and his family were reflective on his past.
