Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The long wait is almost over. More than two and a half years after Regy Thorpe was named the head coach of the U.S. men’s indoor coach, Thorpe’s squad begins play at the World Indoor Lacrosse championship on Thursday. Over the weekend, Lax Sports Network announced it will carry all 72 games from the tournament.
2. The Inaugural Premier Lacrosse League championship is set: Whipsnakes will meet Redwoods following Redwoods dominating defensive display against the league’s No. 1 seed, Chaos, on Saturday. Whipsnakes and Redwoods will hook up on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia in a nationally-televised game on NBC.
Rookie goalie Tim Troutner was a big reason why, making eight of his 12 saves in the second half.

3. Lyle Thompson broke Mark Millon’s single-season goal and point marks for the Chesapeake Bayhawks in the Bayhawks 11-10 victory at Denver on Saturday. Coupled with Boston’s win over Atlanta, the Bayhawks, Outlaws and Cannons are all tied atop the Major League Lacrosse standings at 9-6 with the Blaze a game back.
Here’s a dazzling assist, one of four by Thompson on the night, to Steele Stanwick for a Bayhawks goal.
