Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Brandon Duncan, one of the stars of the ESPN Films documentary “Crossroads,” is succeeding at the college level and grateful for an opportunity at Montreat.
Duncan, who graduated from Charlotte Secondary School in 2016, got the chance to play in the NAIA, a newly founded lacrosse organization that offers scholarships to many of its athletes.
Through the NAIA, Duncan, who wasn't sure he'd be able to afford to play college lacrosse, can live out his dream.
2. Jacksonville's Jeremy Winston grew up as the only black player on his teams and in his camps in the Dallas area. However, he never stopped playing the game he loved.
Now, he’s hoping the sport can lose the all-white stigma..
“If lacrosse has a chance to grow in America, then eventually, it won’t be an all-white sport,” he said. “It’ll just be a sport.”
3. Chris Hogan had two touchdowns in the Patriots’ loss Sunday. It’s no secret, but Twitter gave us a reminder.
DUDE DID YOU GUYS KNOW HE USED TO PLAY LACROSSE AT PENN STATE!?!?
