Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The U.S. indoor team wraps up pool play at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship later today against England (7:30 pm Eastern on Lax Sports Network).
The U.S. squad is 1-2 through three games, most recently almost pulling off a dramatic comeback against the Iroquois Nationals on Saturday night. The U.S., looking to beat the Iroquois for the first time in event history, scored the final four goals of the game but came up just short in an 11-10 loss.
Wanted that win, but what a battle last night against @IrqLax.

The U.S. squad will welcome three members from the PLL champion Whipsnakes for the remainder of the tournament — Matt Dunn, Connor Kelly and Matt Rambo. They’ll be a welcome addition of firepower to a team that has both talent and experience and plenty of inspiration, including Anthony Kelly, who is playing for the U.S. team after a 12-year hiatus.
“To be able to end my career here and represent my country, it’s as special as it gets.”@AnthonyKelly34, at 39, isn’t done just yet. He’s a major part of our team at @WILC2019.

2. The inaugural Premier Lacrosse League season ended in dramatic fashion with Matt Rambo delivering the game-winning goal for Whipsnakes in an 11-10 overtime triumph over Redwoods.

3. Keeping with the Matt Rambo theme, the attackman was named the PLL’s MVP on Thursday night to highlight the league’s award winners.
4. The Chesapeake Bayhawks wrapped up the No. 1 seed for the Major League Lacrosse playoffs with a 13-11 victory over the Denver Outlaws. Colin Heacock’s goal from the game landed on SportsCenter’s Top 10.

Chesapeake and Atlanta will meet in one semifinal on Oct. 4 in Denver and Boston and Denver will meet in the other game. The championship game will be held Oct. 6 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver.
5. I think there are an unusual number of New York Giants fans in Durham, N.C. today.
