Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. And you thought the Syracuse men’s staff was already stocked with all-time greats.

On Friday, the Orange announced another headline-grabbing hire, bringing on TD Ierlan as a volunteer assistant to coach faceoffs. Ierlan, the most dominant faceoff specialist in NCAA history, recently completed his rookie season in the Premier Lacrosse League with the Redwoods.

More here.

2. Stony Brook formally announced the hiring of Sydney Pirreca Friday afternoon.

Pirreca, a Long Island native, was hired to replace Kim Hillier, the new head coach at Drexel. Pirreca was instrumental in helping Syracuse reach the national title game last spring, coaching an offense that lost Emily Hawryschuk and Megan Carney at different points during the season.

More here.

3. Speaking of Hillier, she already feels at home in Philadelphia.

Hillier, who outside of a four-year stint at Boston University has spent every moment of her lacrosse career on Long Island, has taken charge of a team she feels has incredible potential.

We checked in with Hillier as part of our Fall Ball Focus series. More here.

4. Max Adler battled like a champion for the Chaos this season.

Adler, who admitted there were some moments of self-doubt this summer, rose to the occasion in the PLL title game, even playing injured down the stretch.

Phil Shore caught up with Adler, one of the Chaos’ heroes this season. More here.
