Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Tehoka Nanticoke has been dismissed from Albany’s men’s lacrosse team.

The senior attackman from Six Nations, Ontario, was reportedly dismissed “based on internal team issues,” and Chris Jastrzembski tweeted that the decision was partly a result of a pattern of confrontations, including reportedly yelling at teammates and coaches during the Great Danes’ 16-10 loss to Stony Brook on Saturday.

2. The New Haven women made a statement.

Mary Rishmany’s game-winning goal propelled the Golden Knights past Adelphi 8-7 Wednesday afternoon, just New Haven’s second-ever win against Adelphi in the 20-year history of competition between the teams.

Adelphi is now 0-2, marking the first time the Panthers have lost consecutive games since the final two games of the 2002 season.

3. The Loyola and Stanford women earned big wins Wednesday.

Livy Rosenzweig’s two goals and five assists paced the Greyhounds in a 14-6 win over Patriot League rival Navy.

Out west, Jay Browne (two goals, seven assists) and Ali Baiocco (six goals, three assists) each recorded nine points in the Cardinal’s 23-8 win over Fresno State.

4. Chris Hogan is officially signed to a PLL club.

The two-time Super Bowl champion was acquired off waivers by Sean Quirk’s Cannons LC on Wednesday. The Cannons also picked up 2020 MLL MVP Bryce Wasserman, 2020 NLL MVP Shayne Jackson and a slew of other players — including Andrew Kew in a trade with Redwoods LC.

• Comments like “just play lacrosse” are not a conducive way to grow the game, writes US Lacrosse manager of athlete development Lauren Davenport. Instead, Davenport writes that the focus should be on empathy and understanding.
