Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Connor Kelly is the first draft pick in Waterdogs LC history.
Kelly, the former Whipsnakes star, was the first pick in Wednesday’s PLL Expansion Draft. The newly founded Waterdogs LC selected 18 players to its roster.

Notably, attackman Christian Cuccinello went second overall, legendary defenseman Brodie Merrill went third and Waterdogs picked up goalie Charlie Cipriano at pick No. 4. Also joining the Waterdogs are names like Kieran McArdle (No. 7), Drew Snider (No. 10), Ryan Drenner (No. 11) and Ryan Conrad (No. 16).
2. Matt Bocklet, president of the Denver Outlaws.
Major League Lacrosse announced Wednesday that Bocklet, the three-time champion with the Outlaws, will take over his former franchise as president. The news comes just a day after the league announced the Connecticut Hammerheads as a new franchise and two days after it revealed the Dallas Rattlers would cease operations.
The Outlaws are now the only of the six MLL teams located outside of the Eastern timezone.
3. Charlotte North is off to a historically good start.
North, the Duke transfer and focal point of Boston College’s offense, set a program record with 12 points on eight goals and four assists to lead the Eagles to a 16-6 win over Boston U. With North’s help, Boston College outscored its crosstown rival 11-1 in the second half.
