Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. US Lacrosse Magazine presents “Overtime with Paul Carcaterra,” a podcast that will debut Feb. 12 on iTunes and Spotify.
Hosted by the former Syracuse All-American and current ESPN analyst, “Overtime” will feature in-depth one-on-one with some of the sport’s best players and coaches and biggest personalities. Up first, National Lacrosse Hall of Fame coach Bill Tierney of Denver.

2. Team-by-team previews of the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Preseason Top 20 continued yesterday.
Pete Milliman has shed the interim label as coach of the No. 4 Cornell men, having led the Big Red to a 13-5 season last year. With players accounting for 85 percent of Cornell’s scoring returning, including 99-point scorer Jeff Teat, the Big Red will challenge for the Ivy League championship.
Scoring rarely has been a problem for the No. 4 Florida women, who routinely rank among the top 10 nationally in offensive output. That should continue this season with senior Lindsey Ronbeck among 10 returning starters, but look for the Gators to value possession time more in selective spots.
3. From the January issue of US Lacrosse Magazine, “Give & Go” gives you a chance to get to know Providence men’s team goalie Tate Boyce.
4. US Lacrosse yesterday announced updates to rules for box lacrosse, including points of emphasis for 2019.
5. The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association released its preseason coaches polls for Division I and Division II yesterday.
6. New York’s new National Lacrosse League franchise yesterday announced that head coach and general manager Regy Thorpe has named Lance Basler as the assistant GM and director of operations. Tough loss for us here at US Lacrosse, as Basler has worked in various capacities with Team USA for nearly five years, most recently as general manager.
