Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:
1. USA Lacrosse has announced 150 women’s NTDP Combine invitees.
Some of the nation’s top high school women’s lacrosse players will go head-to-head in the National Team Development Program Combine Aug. 8-10. The NTDP Combine will take place at the USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., and include on-field, strength and condition, nutrition, recruiting and sport psychology training to help players get ready for higher levels of play and enter the U.S. national team pipeline.
The complete roster and coaching staff can be found here.
2. USA Lacrosse has chosen more than 100 men’s NTDP Combine invitees.
The men’s combine will take place Aug. 1-3 and include the same types of programs as the women’s. It will also happen at the USA Lacrosse headquarters and include players representing high schools from 28 states.
The full roster, including coaches, is here.
3. The 2022 All-America Senior Game girls’ rosters are out.
New York leads the North with 11 selections, while 14 players from Maryland will make the short trip to Homewood Field for Saturday’s 17th All-America Lacrosse Game. Meghan Reddy and Kyleigh Williams will coach the North team, while Mary Gagnon, Melissa Diepold and Deemer Class will lead the South. Kaleigh Harden of New Canaan (Conn.), USA Lacrosse Magazine’s Northeast Girls’ Player of the Year and a North Carolina commit, will suit up for the North.
The game will air on Saturday on ESPNU at 5:30 p.m.
4. The 2022 All-America Senior Game boys’ rosters have also been unveiled.
The All-America Senior boys’ roster also has a New York and Maryland flavor. Nine New Yorkers will play for the North, and nine players from the Free State made the South roster.
The game is headlined by USA Lacrosse Magazine National Player of the Year Joey Spallina, a graduate of Mount Sinai (N.Y.) who is on his way to Syracuse. Spallina will play alongside USA Lacrosse Midwest Boys’ Player of the Year Griffin Scane of Culver (Ind.), who will compete collegiately at Penn. They’ll square off against USA Lacrosse Magazine Mid-Atlantic Boys’ Player of the Year Dom Pietramala of Boys’ Latin (Md.), a UNC commit.
Dylan Sheridan, John Paul and Dallas Hartley will lead the North, and Jeff Bellistri, Glen Miles and Kylor Bellistri will be on the sidelines for the South.
The game is scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at Homewood Field. It will also air on ESPNU.
