Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Wednesday is becoming a must-watch night for women’s lacrosse.
There were three massive upsets last night, highlighted by No. 13 Adelphi’s stunning 7-5 win over No. 1 UIndy. The Greyhounds likely won’t be No. 1 for much longer, as the Adelphi defense forced them into 23 turnovers and held the potent offense to just five goals.
In Division I, both James Madison and Florida earned much-needed wins over Richmond and Syracuse, respectively.

2. It was a significantly lighter men’s slate last night.
Stony Brook pummeled UMass Lowell 17-9 behind four goals and two assists from Noah Armitage. Vermont continued its surprisingly poor start with a 12-10 loss to UMass. The Minutemen were led by four points (three goals) from Logan Liljeberg.
3. Matt Hamilton dives into how two heroes saved John Holcomb’s life.
Holcomb, a Clemson men’s lacrosse player, collapsed during the fourth quarter of last weekend’s MCLA game against Indiana. Liberty trainer Kira Turner and Indiana player Harris Jaffe teamed to stabilize him.
4. BYU and St. Thomas sit atop the MCLA’s Division I and II polls, released Wednesday.
In Division I, BYU overtook Liberty — last week’s No. 1 — and earned 18 first-place votes. In Division II, St. Thomas holds just a 14-point lead on the top spot.

5. We named the USA Lacrosse High School Players of the Week.
McAllister Hobbs (Dallas Jesuit) and Lucas de la Paz (Mater Dei) earned recognition in boys’ lacrosse, while Minje Kwun (Hockaday) and Briley Volpp (Cathedral Catholic) earned recognition in girls’ lacrosse.
