Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The PLL Championship Series is back with a new twist.

Coming in February 2023, the Premier Lacrosse League is bringing back the Championship Series. The refreshed model will feature the top four teams from the previous summer playing in the Sixes format — an effort to help drive the sport toward the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

2. The Division I women’s NCAA quarterfinals are today.

With four games across 10 hours today — all staggered and on ESPNU — it’s a great day to be a lacrosse fan. Taylor Cummings breaks down her picks on who will make Championship Weekend in her latest column.

3. Delaware State University is taking legal action.

The university has formally requested the United States Department of Justice investigation possible Civil Rights violations of its women’s lacrosse team  in relation to a traffic stop by Liberty County police in Georgia last month.

4. Another new Division I women’s team is coming.

In a move that was rumored a few years back, the Charlotte 49ers have officially announced the addition of women’s lacrosse by 2024-25. The 49ers will compete in the AAC.
