Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world.

1. Oregon stunned Colorado in the Pac-12 women’s lacrosse quarterfinals Wednesday in Tempe, Arizona.

The fifth-seeded Ducks, who were 3-13 and won just one conference game during the regular season, scored nine unanswered goals in the second quarter of a 14-10 victory. Morgan McCarthy scored four goals and corralled seven draw controls and Cassidy Eckert made 13 saves.

The fourth-seeded Buffaloes, who had defeated Oregon 23-12 just 12 days earlier, are one of the bubble teams vying for an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament. This loss will hurt.

Oregon will face top-seeded Stanford in the Pac-12 semifinals tonight. Third-seeded Arizona State, another bubble team, beat Cal 17-8 in the other quarterfinal Wednesday and will face second-seeded USC.

2. Two Big East men’s lacrosse teams are on the hunt for new head coaches. Providence’s Chris Gabrielli and St. John’s Jason Miller both resigned Wednesday.

Gabrielli, the former Duke assistant, went 61-81 in 10 seasons at Providence. Miller went 67-145 in 16 seasons at St. John’s.

3. The Premier Lacrosse League and ESPN announced the league’s TV schedule for the 2022 season. It includes 12 games on linear platforms — three on ABC, three on ESPN and six on ESPN2. All 47 games (the most in PLL history) will be streamed on ESPN+.

4. Johns Hopkins’ Joey Epstein called rival Maryland the “Goliath” of Division I men’s lacrosse on the eve of the archrivals’ Big Ten semifinal showdown. The Terps throttled the Blue Jays 22-7 at Homewood Field two Saturdays ago. They meet in College Park today at 5:30 p.m. ET.

“The way they play lacrosse, it’s fun to watch,” Epstein admitted before adding, “We’re going to have to do our best to make it ugly to watch.”
