Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Our #BestofLax voting continued yesterday with Tom Schreiber (NLL Rookie of the Year, MLL Player of the Year, and U.S. national team training team) headlining a field of finalists that includes Trevor Baptiste, Matt Rambo and Lyle Thompson.
2. Schreiber’s wild 2017 continues on Saturday night when he’ll suit up with the U.S. men’s indoor team for the Heritage Cup against Canada in Hamilton, Ontario. The Canadian Lacrosse Association announced on Wednesday that the game will be streamed live on Twitter
.
3. National Lacrosse Hall of Fame coach Chris Sailer will be honored at US Lacrosse on Saturday during the Princeton Invitational. The Chris Sailer trail will be dedicated along with a tribute to 11 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Trailblazers. Sailer reflects on the honor and the trailblazers, including her college coach Carole Kleinfelder.
4. Yale has won three straight Ivy League tournament championships, but they were followed by three first round exits from the NCAA tournament. Can two-time Tewaaraton finalist Ben Reeves push the Bulldogs over the hump in his senior season?
