Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Premier Lacrosse League continued its dominance of the lacrosse news cycle Wednesday with another PR (public relations or Paul Rabil) blitz, this time surrounding its expansion to seven teams.

The PLL will hold an expansion draft in February. Each of the current six teams will be able to protect 10 players.

2. Matthew Stockfeder, a senior midfielder for the St. John’s men’s lacrosse team, has been arrested for reportedly stabbing his roommate during a fight that occurred at a house off campus in the early-morning hours Tuesday.

3. Virginia is loaded with offensive talent. But the Cavaliers’ rebuilt defense, currently led by former walk-on Kyle Kology, is the real key to defending their NCAA championship.
