1. A lot has changed since a year ago in Major League Lacrosse, but the Denver Outlaws are in the title hunt again with six players back from last year’s championship squad. The league opens its playoffs in the Mile High City on Friday with a pair of nationally-televised games on ESPN News.
2. Richard Speckmann, who led Nassau CC to the junior college final four in 39 of his 40 seasons, will be one of this month’s inductees into the National lacrosse Hall of Fame.
3. “Defend” and “repeat” are words you won’t hear at the University of Virginia this fall. The reigning NCAA champions will visit US Lacrosse to play the U.S. and Canada during Fall Classic on Oct. 19.

4. U.S. national team coaches Kelly Amonte Hiller (Northwestern) and Jenny Levy (North Carolina) will be two of the featured speakers among a star-studded lineup of clinicians for the US Lacrosse Convention Jan. 10-12, 2020 in Philadelphia.
