Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:
1. Tommy Burke will use his graduate year at Ohio State in 2024.
The Vermont faceoff man will spend the upcoming spring with the Catamounts before transferring to Columbus. Ohio State is dealing with a question at the faceoff X this season following the graduation of Justin Inacio, and while Burke won’t help Nick Myers’ team this year, the Buckeyes can rest well knowing they have an answer on faceoffs the following spring.
Dan Arestia was first with the news.
Tommy Burke will use a grad year at Ohio State. The UVM faceoff specialist is a two time All American and two time All America East standout. The Buckeyes get a star at the faceoff spot.

Burke will be at UVM this spring, and join the Buckeyes for the 2023-24 year.
2. The Maryland women are final four contenders with room to grow.
Cathy Reese is excited for another year of lacrosse in College Park, and even though program staple Grace Griffin and 2022 dynamo Aurora Cordingley have graduated, there’s always talent in the coffers at Maryland.
Marge Donovan has transferred in to fortify an already stout defense, and the offensive keys now belong to Libby May and Hannah Leubecker with others expected to chip in.
3. Taralyn Naslonski is back in Piscataway as a volunteer assistant.
One of the top players in Rutgers history, Naslonski joined the Scarlet Knights in a volunteer capacity earlier this week. She is the all-time leading scorer in program history with 226 points and 187 goals.
4. Fall Classic is just around the corner.
Don’t miss champs vs. champs, as the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams go toe-to-toe with the defending national champions at USA Lacrosse HQ in Sparks, Md., from October 14-16. Get your tickets here.
