1. Top of the World

The United States wrapped up a perfect run through pool play at the 2022 World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championship with a 17-2 victory over Australia. The U.S. is the top seed heading into bracket play. The U.S. will play the winner of today’s Germany-Puerto Rico game in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

2. Taylor Moreno officially claims top spot in Athletes Unlimited.

In a race that literally came down to the final seconds of the season, Taylor Moreno edged Sam Apuzzo for the top spot on the leaderboard in the 2022 Athletes Unlimited season.

3. Mere months after a national title, James Delaney is out.

James Delaney confirmed to USA Lacrosse Magazine that he had been fired as the head coach of the University of Indianapolis women’s lacrosse program, less than three months after leading the school to the NCAA Division II championship.

4. The PLL regular season is ready to wrap up.

The Whipsnakes have locked up the top seed, but there is plenty of playoff positioning to be determined in the final week fo the Premier Lacrosse League regular season in Tacoma, Wash., this weekend.

5. Becca Block’s refocused dominance.

The pandemic gave Becca Block some additional time to refocus and the results have been more than impressive. Two straight defender of the year awards in Athletes Unlimited and a gold medal with the U.S. team.
