Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Our Chasing Rings video series with the U.S. women’s national team is back. Episode 5 looks at the team’s training camp at Bisham Abbey and the series will wrap up with two more episodes this week. Episode 6, featuring the World Cup in Guildford, England, will debut on Wednesday and Episode 7, highlighting the World Games in Wroclaw, Poland comes out on Friday.
2. Yesterday, we previewed the September/October edition of the print edition of US Lacrosse Magazine, which hits members’ mailboxes this week. Team USA midfielder Kelly Rabil is featured on the cover, and the issue also includes a profile of the legendary Casey Powell, who enters the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame this fall, and our Myth Busters package.
3. The Federation of International Lacrosse welcomed Luxembourg as the 59th member of the organization.
4. Former U.S. men’s team member Fred Opie catches up with FCA Lacrosse founder and US Lacrosse Foundation board member Frank Kelly on his weekly podcast.
5. Major League Lacrosse announced that Michael Unterstein of the Florida Launch will serve a two-game suspension for his late hit on Ohio’s Steven Waldeck late in the team’s semifinal game.
6. In better MLL news, the American Cancer Society tweeted the the league helped raise $49,000 for the organization.
