Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. U.S. national team star Kayla Treanor has a passion for social justice. She studied Cultural Foundations at Syracuse and has been engaged in issues of racial injustice ever since.
Treanor wanted to make her voice heard in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, and US Lacrosse Magazine spoke to her about why she feels compelled to speak.
“In many ways, it’s on white people to seek this education,” she said in the piece. “I believe that’s where we have to start, encouraging people to have these conversations whether you agree or disagree.”
2. Nat St. Laurent is grateful for the opportunity to coach Redwoods LC in 2020. He’s a native of Carthage, N.Y., and almost quit the game of lacrosse after racist comments turned him away at a young age.
But he stuck with lacrosse and made it a career. St. Laurent sat down with Paul Carcaterra on "Overtime" to discuss the state of racism in America, and why he’s committed to speaking for as long as needed.

3. Culver (Ind.) will hire Jon Birsner as its next head coach, according to Ty Xanders. Birsner has spent the last five seasons leading the VMI men’s lacrosse program.
Culver has been searching for a new head coach since Jon Posner left to take the same position at Lawrenceville (N.J.).
