Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. After decades of debate, the shot clock is finally coming to men’s college lacrosse. We take a deep dive into the history and the potential consequences in our November print edition. You can read it here.
2. November is Native American Heritage Month and US Lacrosse has recently formed a Native American Advisory Council, chaired by Andrew Lee, a former Hamilton College lacrosse player who is chairman of the board of trustees of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian.
3. The US Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates National Championship is headed back to Virginia Beach in 2019. The nation’s top women’s college club teams also played there in 2014 and 2015.
4. Professional lacrosse player Joey Sankey, who we profiled last month, continues with the “second quarter” of his battle against cancer.
