Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The Team USA Fall Classic continued to dominate lacrosse headlines and social media Monday.
The U.S. escaped with a 10-9 win over Maryland on Saturday — the first game in which all three Bernhardt brothers competed at the same time — and eased past Towson 22-2 on Sunday.
Despite a picturesque night Saturday at Tierney Field, the U.S. effort against the defending NCAA champion Terps wasn’t the prettiest. The team rebounded in a big way Sunday. Inside Lacrosse’s Kyle Devitte and Terry Foy offered their analysis.
Tewaaraton candidate Connor Kelly earned a ton of hype over the weekend, scoring two goals against the U.S. on Saturday and then suiting up for the U.S. on Sunday. This happened:

2. The second-annual 9/11 Memorial Game offered perhaps the most meaningful moments of the weekend Sunday morning. A bell tolled and bagpipes blared in the 9/11 Memorial Garden as first responders from Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Virginia came together in a show of solidarity. They also played a lacrosse game, a chance to have fun and compete as a brotherhood.
3. The Canadian selection camp in Buffalo included scrimmages against Canisius, Cleveland State, Notre Dame and Robert Morris. And though reports out of the camp were sparse — Notre Dame tweeted that it defeated Canada on Saturday — the 46-player list of Canadian hopefuls certainly raised some eyebrows. It included Atlanta Blaze attackman Kevin Rice, who voiced his displeasure at not being invited to U.S. tryouts over the summer, and Albany senior attackman Connor Fields, who will suit up for the U.S. against Canada in the Oct. 21 Heritage Cup indoor lacrosse event in Ontario. And it appears as if faceoff man Geoff Snider, though retired from professional lacrosse, will attempt to play in his fourth world championship. He was the MVP in 2006.
