Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. It’s Fall Classic week.
For U.S. men’s team midfielder Steven DeNapoli, Friday’s exhibition game against rival Canada will be his first time donning the red, white and blue since a devastating knee injury just weeks before the 2018 world championship precluded him from traveling with the team to Israel. Another opportunity. That’s all DeNapoli has ever wanted, or needed, in his lacrosse career.
Speaking of opportunities, US Lacrosse is accepting applications for volunteers to assist with the fan zone, retail, autograph sessions and on-field entertainment.

2. Dom Starsia will not return as head coach of the Premier Lacrosse League’s Chrome in 2020, instead transitioning to a role with the league’s advisory board, the PLL announced Monday.
It’s hard to express how grateful we are to have had @DomStarsiaPLL lead us through our inaugural season as one of our 6 @PremierLacrosse head coaches. We now stand in even better hands with his wisdom and expertise as a leader of our Lacrosse Advisory Board. Thank you, Coach. https://t.co/WgqIA7icPm

but I look forward to building professional lacrosse with him as part of @PremierLacrosse's Lacrosse Advisory Board and exploring more options to utilize his great mind and experience.

I appreciate Paul and Mike working with me on this transition to a leadership position on the AB. I look forward to continuing my work with the PLL in every helpful capacity. We have stepped boldly in to a new era for professional lacrosse, proud to be part of it. Go Chrome!
