Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The PLL is adding a seventh team, and now we know how the expansion draft will play out.
The league announced Tuesday the rules for the first-ever Expansion Draft. Among those rules:
-
Each of the six teams must submit a list of 11 players to be protected from the Expansion Draft. Those not protected will enter the player pool for the draft.
-
The seventh lacrosse club will select 18 players from the pool, but no more than four from any one previous club.
-
Players that will be excluded from the pool: The list includes active military members and rookie holdouts (i.e. did not make one appearance on a Travel Roster during 2019 season).
Joe Keegan was quick to point one rule and its implications for a certain star rookie.
Rookie holdouts (i.e. Pat Spencer) and active military members will NOT count against 11-man rosters. https://t.co/NeJvrdfNKn

Speaking of Spencer (Archers draft pick), he scored six points and added three assists in Northwestern's win over Boston College in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
2. The Best of Lax 2019 is live.
Weeks ago, we asked fans to vote on their favorites to win our Best of Lax awards for the December issue of the magazine.
3. The Georgia Swarm should be a threat again in 2020.
The Swarm, coming off a disappointing exit in the East semifinals last year, welcome back a strong core and return names like Joel White and Jordan Hall, who starred previously in Atlanta.
Unfortunately, Georgia will have to fill a hole left by Holden Cattoni.
